Mr. Attaf participates in the High-Level Dialogue marking the 5th anniversary of the launch of the Global Development Initiative

The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, participated at the United Nations headquarters in New York in the high-level dialogue held on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the launch of the Global Development Initiative, under the slogan “Together for a new chapter in the journey of sustainable development,” chaired by the Vice President of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Han Zheng .

This meeting, which was attended by the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ms. Amina Mohammed, and high-level representatives of member states and international organizations, provided an opportunity to review the achievements made within the framework of this initiative and to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and partnerships to accelerate the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development .

In his intervention in this context, Mr. Ahmed Attaf reiterated Algeria’s support for the Global Development Initiative, praising its contribution to supporting the efforts of developing countries to address the widening development gaps globally .

He also stressed the importance of promoting investments and productive projects, developing infrastructure, digitization, exchanging knowledge and transferring technology, as well as mobilizing sustainable financing that responds to the priorities of these countries and allows for the implementation of their development plans .
