The Algerian Embassy in Astana commemorates the 63rd anniversary of the National Day of Immigration, commemorating the demonstrations of October 17, 1961 in Paris
Astana, October 17, 2024
Today, the Algerian Embassy in Kazakhstan commemorated the 63rd anniversary of the National Day of Immigration, commemorating the demonstrations of October 17, 1961 (2024), under the slogan: "Pride of Belonging... and the March of Loyalty", in commemoration of the souls of the martyrs of the massacres of October 17, 1961 in Paris, in the presence of the entire embassy staff and representatives of the Kazakh press.
On this occasion, the national flag was raised at the embassy headquarters, the national anthem was played, and then the Fatiha was read before a minute of silence was observed in memory of the souls of the righteous martyrs.
His Excellency Ambassador Kamel Fenniche also gave a speech in which he mentioned the historical importance of this anniversary, considering that these massacres are considered a crime against humanity and do not expire according to the law of the International Court, and that Algeria is loyal to its martyrs who went out to demonstrate peacefully to convey the voice of the great liberation revolution so that the entire world can hear that all Algerians, whether at home or abroad, want independence. However, these peaceful demonstrations turned into massacres, and the French police forces attacked the demonstrators with live bullets and threw them into the “Seine” River.
His Excellency the Ambassador went on to say that these peaceful demonstrations will remain rooted in the minds of all Algerians, generation after generation, and that this is a sincere covenant and a firm commitment to our people throughout time. He recalled the Quranic verse: "And never think of those who are killed in the way of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision, rejoicing in what Allah has given them of His bounty, and they receive good tidings about those who have not yet joined them, behind them, that there is no fear for them, nor will they grieve."
After the speech of His Excellency the Ambassador, everyone prayed for mercy on the souls of the martyrs, wishing them glory and immortality, and that their place, God willing, will be in Paradise.
Long live Algeria, glory and immortality to our righteous martyrs.
