NOTICE ON ACCREDITATION ARRANGEMENTS FOR MEDIA COVERAGE OF THE ALGERIAN LOCAL ELECTIONS SCHEDULED FOR 28 NOVEMBER 2026

In anticipation of the local elections to be held on 28 November 2026 in the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, the Embassy of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to the Republic of Kazakhstan has the honour to inform Kazakhstani media outlets, as well as foreign journalists accredited in the Republic of Kazakhstan, of the accreditation procedures for journalists wishing to cover this electoral event, in accordance with the legal and regulatory provisions in force in the country where the elections will take place.

The accreditation period runs from 20 October to 20 November 2026, and media coverage will be authorized in the following three provinces: Algiers, Oran, and Constantine. Professional journalists working for media organizations governed by foreign legislation are required to submit their accreditation files to the Algerian diplomatic or consular mission in the country where their employer is legally established.

The accreditation file must include the following documents:

A completed and signed Temporary Accreditation Information Form, available on the website of the National Independent Authority for Elections or at Algerian diplomatic and consular missions, clearly indicating the province(s) the journalist intends to visit;
A media coverage request issued by the employing organization;
A copy of the journalist’s professional card;
A recent passport‑size photograph in JPEG format;
A copy of the journalist’s passport;
A list of technical equipment intended for use during media coverage, where applicable, in accordance with the guidelines of the National Independent Authority for Elections.

The Embassy of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria in the Republic of Kazakhstan reaffirms its readiness to receive accreditation files within the specified deadlines and to process them in accordance with the applicable regulatory procedures, thereby ensuring appropriate conditions for the performance of media duties during the electoral event.
