The Embassy of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria in Astana is pleased to remind all members of the Algerian community residing in Kazakhstan who are unable to personally go to the polling station on election day, for any reason, that they may appoint a representative, by means of a power of attorney specifically designated for this purpose, to exercise this right at the same polling station where they are supposed to vote, in accordance with the following arrangements:

A power of attorney may only be granted to an agent who enjoys full civil and political rights.

An agent may hold only one power of attorney.
The power of attorney may be drawn up at any Algerian diplomatic or consular mission abroad. However, if this is not possible, any document authorizing the exercise of the right to vote by proxy may be drawn up by the official administrative bodies of the host country. This document becomes valid after verification of the information it contains and its approval by the head of the diplomatic mission.

The deadline for preparing powers of attorney is three (3) days before the date of the election.
