The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has launched the "Study in Algeria" digital platform for international students interested in studying in Algeria at their own expense.

On April 8, 2025, at the Chahid Abdelhafid Ihdaden Sidi Abdellah Science and Technology Hub, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Kamel Baddari, presided over the official launch ceremony of the digital platform (STUDY IN ALGERIA) for international students wishing to study in Algeria. This comes as part of the implementation of Presidential Decree No. 25-83 of February 20, 2025, defining the criteria and conditions for international student admission to Algerian institutions of higher education and training. The ceremony was attended by Their Excellencies the ambassadors accredited to Algeria, as well as international students enrolled in Algerian universities.
During the launch ceremony, the Minister affirmed that "Algeria is today embarking on a new path towards the modernization of higher education and its openness to the world, and is witnessing increasing international interest in its universities, thanks to the profound reforms initiated by the state, which have enhanced the attractiveness of its university system." He also noted that "Algerian universities are opening their doors to international students, offering them valuable knowledge and knowledge sharing, within a comprehensive vision based on quality and openness."
The Minister added that this step "embodies the directives of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and the government's plan for the period 2024-2029, which places great importance on the internationalization of higher education and the promotion of international academic cooperation." Mr. Kamal Baddari concluded his speech by emphasizing that the sector "seeks to make Algerian universities a cultural bridge connecting peoples, and our invitation to international students is not only for study, but also for a scientific and academic project that strengthens bonds of friendship and knowledge exchange."
It is worth noting that the digital platform is intended for international university students wishing to study in Algeria at their own expense. This platform allows students to view all information related to the university system in Algeria, access all Algerian universities, learn about study and accommodation conditions, and all available majors, in addition to registering at the university of their choice.
